Privacy Policy
TWO Technologies (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the TWO mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the App:
- Email address and authentication data used to create and secure your account.
- Profile information you provide (name, photo, couple details).
- Chat content you and your partner exchange inside the App.
- Media (photos, videos) you choose to upload.
- Location data, only when you explicitly grant permission.
- Push notification tokens to deliver in-app notifications.
- Basic technical data (device type, OS version, crash logs).
How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account and your couple connection.
- To deliver messages, reactions, notifications and shared moments.
- To show live location to your partner when both of you opt in.
- To improve stability, fix bugs and prevent abuse.
- To communicate important service updates.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Location Data
Location is strictly opt-in. The App will request permission before accessing your location, and you can disable it at any time in your device or app settings. Location is shared only with your connected partner inside the App.
Chat and Media
Messages, reactions and media you upload are stored to deliver them to your partner and to make them available across your devices. They are visible only to the two members of your couple.
Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted infrastructure providers, including Firebase and other Google services, for authentication, storage and notifications. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Analytics will be used only if explicitly enabled in a future version, and only in an anonymized form.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly to any incidents.
Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days. Backups are purged within 90 days. Limited information may be retained where required by law (e.g. fraud prevention, tax records).
Account Deletion & Data Removal
You have the right to delete your account and data at any time.
In the app: Open TWO → Profile → Settings → Delete account.
From the web: Submit a request on our Data Deletion page or email contact@two-app.org.
Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Backups are fully purged within 90 days.
User Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. You can also withdraw consent for optional features such as location sharing and notifications at any time.
Children
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes inside the App or by email.
